Ingredients for a bundt pan

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup poppy seeds
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar, divided
1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk, divided
1 tsp vanilla
4 large egg whites
Powdered sugar, for garnishing, if desired
